Jean-Jacques Mure, CEO of the LIGREED start-up, exhibited the company’s very innovative clip ligatures from April 11 to 14 at the Musikmesse Frankfurt trade show.
A great novelty for sax and clarinet
These products for saxophones and clarinets are fitted with a clip that puts pressure on the reed in the vibration direction on the instrument’s mouthpiece. A wheel allows very fine tuning of the reed’s position as well as exceptional, rich in harmonics, diverse and open sound rendition. The exclusive dual material processing with “soft” cushioning avoids sound interferences between the mouthpiece and the shank, and enhances the quality of the mouthpiece. Sound adjustments can be made without removing the ligature, which saves time.
The visitors were impressed by the qualties of the product
After having been present twice at the NAMM Show in Los Angeles and once at the Musikmesse as a visitor, Jean-Jacques Mure decided to exhibit the LIGREED brand on a booth. He explains :
“The distributors came to me, whereas before I went to them. The booth was full for the duration of the show. Visitors were impressed by the ease of positioning and tuning.”
Many tested the products.
Jean-Jacques Mure says he has made numerous and interesting contacts with distributors around the world. 17 countries are represented (Europe, United States, China, Korea, Japan, Brazil …), sometimes with several contacts per country. Business discussions are ongoing.
” I am very satisfied. We can speak of a real success.”
LIGREED’s clip ligatures have caught the attention of Guy Légère, CEO of Légère Reeds (Canada) and Nobushige Yanagisawa, CEO of Yanagisawa, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of saxophones.
The music teacher and entrepreneur says indeed having excellent feedback from potential customers.
